Hello, we’re Neil and DeLynn, your PMI Florida Suncoast president and president-elect. We want to start by wishing you all a very happy 2023. We’re humbled to be serving you this year, and very excited to work with our newly elected board members. We also have some open positions available if you’re interested in volunteering for the chapter.

The chapter has a lot planned for the year, and February will start us off with some terrific events you won’t want to miss!

Help us celebrate Black History Month on February 23 at St. Petersburg College Midtown Campus. This event will kick off our new Celebrate & Inspire Series! These in-person series events will showcase a particular underrepresented community within professions such as project management, quality, and science.

On February 25, PMI Suncoast will partner with St. Pete Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals and ASQ St. Pete-Tampa Section to host The Great Knowledge Hunt in Downtown St. Petersburg! Teams of four will compete in a gamified challenge to demonstrate their ability to complete tasks at various Downtown St. Petersburg locations as well as demonstrate their knowledge of project management and quality. Register today!

Other upcoming events include a Lunch & Learn on March 7, Women in Project Management on March 21, and our Chapter Meeting on April 11. Later this fall you can expect great topics for our Celebrate & Inspire Series as we explore National Hispanic Heritage Month and National Native American Heritage Month, as well as National Disability Employment Awareness Month and National Veterans and Military Families Month. Wrapping up, we want to remind everyone that you can earn PDUs by helping to plan these upcoming events or volunteering as a board member! We welcome all members to get involved!
